What is NAFURA?

The FAB Automated File Upload, Retrieval and Approval ("NAFURA") System was created to provide a secure and standardised method of transferring files from the customer's systems to the Bank's systems for processing. Files of any format can be transferred this way as long as the format is consistent and can be understood by FAB. Typically, these files contain transactions such as fund transfers, payments, remittances or payroll credits.

EmaraTax Payments:

Federal Tax Authority has declared the launch of “EmaraTax”, a new tax platform designed to provide a better experience for taxpayers managing their tax obligations (https://tax.gov.ae/en/emaratax.aspx) effective early December 2022. In line with the launch, changes will be implemented by CBUAE and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) with respect to GIBAN tax payments.

All customer who do tax payments using GIBAN would need to generate a unique payment reference number from the “EmaraTax” portal which should be included when making FTA payments.

In-line with the change, we have enhanced our corporate channels to facilitate the required validation when your FTA payments are being made to ensure they are duly processed. This functionality will be available in NAFURA from 6th December 2022 onwards.
